Before we go any further, it’s important to note that a lot of what a keyboard feels like to touch is subjective. That’s why there are different switch options and boards like this one that don’t have deeper keys that travel farther. What works for one person might not work for another’s fingers. But when it comes to building quality and functionality, things are more clear-cut, so let’s start there.
For a key press to be registered, Logitech’s GL switches need to be pressed 1.5 mm away, travel 2.7 mm, and be pressed with 50g of force. When you look at Razer’s own switches, which have 45 to 50g of force and 3.5 to 4mm of travel, you can get an idea of what “low profile” really means in this case. The keys aren’t set so low that they feel like an Apple keyboard and need the same amount of force, but because they move less, they react much more quickly than other mechanical boards.
Everything is laid out just the way you’d expect it to be, and it’s fantastic for your body. We also really like the way it looks, which seems to be influenced by a lot of different things, not just video games. It’s not great to type on the Logitech G915 Lightspeed though. The ABS plastic used for the low-profile keycaps can get shiny from the oils on your fingers. Also, the keys may bottom out quickly for some users, which may feel strange to people who aren’t used to it. When you type for a long time, you won’t get tired because the keys are light and responsive. But the short pre-travel time can also make you notice more accidental keystrokes, which can lead to more typos than usual.
Does that mean your hands will move faster when you play games? It would depend on what you’re playing. Because the travel is less, your fingers will naturally return to the keyboard a little faster than on a normal mechanical keyboard.
When we played the most demanding games, like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, we were already trying to move as quickly as possible, so we lifted our fingers quickly. When we play games like XCOM 2 where we can be slow or fast, we feel that it is going faster. In other words, we saw the difference most when we weren’t trying to play quickly.
However, a player who is faster and more competitive might discover that a lower actuation actually causes actions to take place more quickly. Even though it wasn’t significantly faster, the most noticeable change we noticed was how quickly we could type. This could be interpreted as a sign of success.

Even its Bluetooth connection, which is usually the slowest, is a respectable 10.7 ms, so you can use it for less latency-sensitive activities like browsing or even light gaming.
There is more to it, This keyboard looks fantastic regardless of the method by which it is connected. However, the receiver connection continues to have a great connection latency of 4.4 milliseconds, which is consistent with what was anticipated. The wired connection has the same great connection latency of 3.7 milliseconds. It is also very low that the estimated PCB latency is only 2.4 milliseconds.

Logitech says that you can play with Logitech G915 Lightspeed for up to 12 days (8 hours a day) with the RGB features on and up to 135 days without them (without the lighting). We didn’t have much time to figure out these numbers because we were reviewing the device in less than a week. But after two days of light use, we only used about 10% of the keyboard’s battery, so the numbers look about right. An even better thing is that charging it won’t affect your experience because a keyboard is always on.
